아주대학교의료원 개원 10주년을 맞이하여 University of Southampton의 Stehpen T. Holgate 교수, 서울대학교 황우석 교수 등 국내외 석학들이 참여하는 국제 심포지엄이 오는 9일(토, 오전9시～오후5시30분) 아주대학교의료원 별관 대강당에서 개최된다.
이번 심포지엄에서는 21세기 게놈(genome) 프로젝트에 의해 밝혀진 유전자 정보를 바탕으로 질병에 대한 새로운 이해 및 치료법 개발을 위한 연구와, 만성 난치성 질환의 미래 치료법인 줄기세포치료(Stem cell therapy)에 대하여 심도 깊은 토론이 이루어질 전망이다.
